A New Era of Artistic Construction (Or Something Like That)

So here we are with this website coming together slowly. I plan to make this site my main hub online where you can find all of my various artistic creations and a whole lot more. It will take a bit of time to get a good amount content posted on this site but it will continue to grow. Not only will my art, music, animation and writing be on this site but I will also be regularly posting my thoughts via audio podcasts, essays, rants, raves and reviews on the various things that I am deeply passionate about such as horror and sci-fi movies, hard rock, metal and film score music, TV shows, books and more.

I had an 80s childhood and came of age in the 90s and these eras shaped my taste in music, film and pop culture. So you will see many things referenced from these times in history. The 70s, 80s and 90s are the three decades that most of my favourite things in the world began. In many ways it seemed like the peak of humanity's contributions to these various arts - but that's an entirely different, long post in itself.

Its all about audio and visual arts here (and basically in my life). I don't know what I would to without it. I am looking forward to sharing my creations and my mind with all of you. I plan to eventually have art prints and other merchandise available featuring my own creations available on this site tough that's a bit down the road yet. I am still in the early stages of building the main structure of this website and adding content so things will come together more and more here in the coming months. There's a lot of great stuff on deck here. I can wait to get it all organized and published live.

All of my original creations you will see here on this website are created by me. I do not use AI in any of my original artwork or music. Everything is done by hand then edited digitally myself. My album covers, poster art, etc all utilize my own original photographs and drawings. The only time I ever use AI is to quickly create a very rare meme or simple fun post for social media with a message such as the recent "Ozzy Bear Hug" image I recently shared. That was something I wanted to create quickly to spread something positive and healing in a dark time. Anything presented as any official piece of artistic creation by me for printing or publishing contain no AI in their creation. As I write this, the website host is offering for AI to re-write this all for me. No thanks! Even if this all sounds weird, this is me and these are my own words and thoughts. Take it or leave it. What you see is what you get with me. I am not trying to be perfect in any way here. Actually, I love the little imperfections in things. It's genuine. Just like us, even art bears the scars of it's creation and "life process".

I am very old school. I grew up in the days before the internet and social media. I still do a lot of things the old school way. I even learned how to animate in college the "old school" classical, hand-drawn way and studied photography and video production in the late 90s. Back still in the film age developing celluloid negatives in stinky developer chemicals and burning and dodging black and white prints on photo paper. I learned how to splice and edit film negatives and tape before I learned how to use editing software. A long gone era in many respects. If there's a way to do it without technology I usually will - wherever and whenever it's possible and realistic to do so.

So I will stop there for now. I just wanted to post a little update. I plan to write in here several times a week so stay tuned and check back regularly.
